Wigs should be regularly cleaned and conditioned to help protect hair fibers and maintain their appearance for a longer period of time.
I believe that no one wants their wigs to look brittle and dry. Therefore, if your wig isn’t looking as shiny as before, you could use a deep conditioning treatment.
- First, take a wide tooth comb to comb out your wig, which can prevent your wig from get rid of all the tangles and any matting that you have. It is recommended that you comb the wig on a table, because in this way, when you’re combing, you’re putting a lot more of the pressure onto the table instead of ono the wig hair.
- Then, shampoo your wig and instead of going to the conditioner, the regular conditioner skips that step and go to the hair mask. fill up a large bowl with lukewarm water and rinse the wig in lukewarm water. Apply shampoo on your wig and then rinse it well.
- Next, apply a generous amount of the hair mask onto the wig. Start on the ends and then get the hair mask all on this wig. Take your hands and kind of just run it through and just get it all over the whole wig. Make sure to avoid getting conditioner on knots.
- Instead of blowing dry your wig, wrap the wig inside a towel. Make sure the electrical plug and outlet you are plugging it into does not appear to have any scorching or damage. And then use medium heat on the heating pad. Place pad on top of the wig for 30 minutes.
If this is your first time washing your hairpiece, don't be nervous. The steps above will give you a lot of practical knowledge
